Providing an organisational environment, that supports the community in planning and developing projects that respond to community issues and needs. Centre Management oversees the centre operations. Networking encourage and further develop community networks. Engage - with community, government, business and industry to raises awareness of, and respond to, current and future social issues and local trends. The Pine Rivers Neighbourhood Centre is committed to participating and contributing to the surrounding community. We aim to respond to needs identified by members of our community, and local volunteers largely provide our services. The Neighbourhood Centre and YouWe are keen to enhance community involvement in your Neighbourhood
and we welcome your input. The simplest way to show your support is
by becoming a member of the Association. The annual membership fee is
$5.50. You may wish to get a bit more involved by participating in hands on work through volunteering on a regular basis or you can be part of an enthusiastic working group to implement and plan events or projects. Your support will be most welcome. You can help guide our affairs through membership of our Management Committee (total of 10 members) or participate on one of the four steering groups. Funds are required to enable us to run the support and education programs
in addition to the funds provided by the Government. Donations to the
Association are tax deductible, and contribute in a very practical way
to enhancing the well being of our community. You can provide long lasting
support through making a bequest. The centre acknowledges the Australian Government Department of Families and Community and State Government Department of Communities and Department of Employment and Training, Gambling Community Benefit Fund and Pine Rivers Shire Council for their financial support.
