Community Learning
Community Learning provides a positive peer-support learning environment for self help, personal education and growth.
A diverse range of courses and workshops are offered for individuals and families participation. All activities are designed to be interactive and inclusive. The peer support environment offers participants the opportunity to share information, connect with others in their community, build relevant skills and effectively make positive changes in their lives. Most groups are time limited to a number of sessions, while others provide monthly ongoing support and activities. All groups offer a confidential environment. Our course costs are kept to a minimum but this is not a condition of attendance; these are always negotiable.
The Calendar is released in January and July each year and new courses are regularly being developed. Click here for the current calendar. Your feedback, questions, opinions and ideas for courses are important, share any here.
Volunteers in any of the courses and groups are invited to meet monthly for ongoing training and development opportunities. Training meetings are friendly, warm, interactive and educational. These meetings are a great opportunity to build skills, knowledge, and friendships within the team of volunteers.
