Staying Housed
Homestay is a program to assist individuals and families who are paying rent and need help to maintain their current tenancy. We can assist by:
- Advising you on what to do if you received a Form 11, Form 12 or Form 13
- Providing you with a case manager
- Assisting you to navigate the housing system. Often there is endless paperwork and phone calls to make, so we can assist you make sense of it all.
- Helping you to find other appropriate and suitable housing
- Supporting you to access private rentals
- Providing advocacy with your real estate agent or Government housing departments
- Helping you to learn new skills that help you in the future to stay in your accommodation
- Referring you to other specialist services where needed
Workers offer support at the centre or agreed place and will work together with you on a support plan.
